Hamas leader Ahmed Yousef actually said: “We like Mr. Obama and we hope that he will win the election.” Jeffery Goldberg of the Atlantic interviewed Obama and it is this month’s issue of that magazine (the link takes you to the entire interview). 

John McCain jumped on this statement, calling it a “legitimate point of discussion,” and tied it to Obama’s putative softness on Iran, whose ever-charming president last week called Israel a “stinking corpse” and predicted its “annihilation.”

And one of Barack Obama’s Middle East policy advisers disclosed yesterday that he had held meetings with the militant Palestinian group Hamas.  Hamas is a group that has been labeled as a terrorist organization by the US State Department.  The aide, Robert Malley, has claims he  stepped down as an advisor to Obama. However it is being widely reported that Obama sacked Malley.  Barack Obama had criticised former President Jimmy Carter for holding direct talks with Hamas.

Then, Barack Obama said he had been to 57 states and had two to go (advisors said it wasn’t worth the time traveling to Alaska and Hawaii) since he began campaigning for Presidency.  As I pointed out on in my comment on Bullwinkle’s post, there are 57 Islamic States, so I can understand the confusion.

This is the kind of thing that will cause Obama problems and gives me hope as a Conservative American.

In Barack Obama’s book , “Dreams From My Father” he repeatedly refers to his friend and adviser as “Frank.” The Frank is Frank Marshall Davis. Just who is this man that was Obama’s early mentor? According to the University of Hawaii he was a socialist who moved to Hawaii from Arkansas because he was not known in Hawaii. In the 1950’s Hawaii was not yet a state and moving there meant getting away from the scrutiny of the communist hunt led by Senator Joseph McCarthy. I could understand why a socialist would want to get away from this situation.

Accuracy in Media identifies Davis as a communist. In the story it claims that Frank Marshall Davis was a publicly identified member of the Communist Party USA. I am not sure that he was a practicing communist. There seems to be much back and forth on this fact and nowhere is there a photo of his communist party card. However there is no doubt that his leanings are very socialist and extreme left.

It is a fair question to ask, What effect did he have on Obama? According to the Washington Post, Obama is the most Liberal Senator we have. What is happening is we are getting a chronology of Obama’s life and mentors.  We have the Reverend Wright, William Ayers, Frank Marshall Davis. Then there are nebulous connections to people like Lewis Farrakhan, and Raila Odinga who I wrote about in this blog.  In a future post I will tell you about the influence of the black liberation theology of James H. Cone on Obama.  Please understand, I am not saying these people are evil.  Most are Americans who have the same rights to say what they believe and influence your vote to decide our leaders as I do.  The point is that these people have an extreme leftist ideology and they had a big influence on Obama. Barrack Obama has all but disowned Reverend Wright in a press conference. As many readers here know, I think that Obama lacks judgment. I find his “I will talk to anyone attitude” disingenuous. Senator Obama gave a speech and a press conference that did not put him in the best of light. He said it was not the Reverend that he knew, he said it was not what he stands for and what he is about. I again question his judgement.

The problem is we don’t really know who Obama is? We are learning and seeing the type of person he is now. It is so obvious that the Reverend was not taken out of context, that it was not a loop of a few statements over and over. Wright is an America Hater, He is a bigot with some lunatic opinions which Barrack Obama sat and listened to for 20 years. There is no way it was just a few sermons that Obama did not attend. This is who Wright is and it is obvious.  I predict that there will soon be people coming forward to say that Barrack was in church on some of those mornings.

If it was just Wright, he would survive. But the cumulative effect of Wright, William Ayers, bitter comments, his wife’s comments, the flag lapel pin, etc. are all tiny snowballs that rolled down a big mountain. What Wright did to Obama was paint him as a race candidate. Obama desperately tried to appear as the candidate of all the people. Now he has been painted as a black candidate and part of the worst of race based politics.

This is what stalled Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton’s aspirations.  Obama is done.

Raila Odinga is the current President of Kenya and the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).  Human Rights Watch has investigated ODM and claimed they organized ethnic-based violence in the Rift Valley of Kenya in order to take control of the disputed recent presidential election. In all, Kenyan police confirmed the deaths of 526 people nationwide.   Other reports have it as high as 1000 people killed.

Odinga’s campaign had an interesting theme to it  – ”Change”.  If that sounds familiar its because Obama campaigned for and supported Odinga.  Odinga claims to be a cousin of Obama.  Remember that photo of Obama in Muslim clothing in Kenya? That was during a visit to support and meet with Odinga.

Why didn’t Obama talk to Odinga and get him to stop the violence? This is how he proposes to solve our problem of evil people wanting to kill us. Will situations like this be political death for Obama as people finally start to learn who he is?

I am starting to see a trend with Barack Obama. He is fragile! It sure is difficult for a politically correct party like the Democrats to say anything about him. Lets take a look at his fragility.

The first time I noticed was when Maureen dowd then made a comment about his ears. Obama took her aside and let her know how sensitive he is about his ears. Next Senator Biden said he was clean. It was obvious to everyone he meant that he did not have the baggage of Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. This comment stopped Biden’s presidential bid in its tracks. The Senator has a penchant for saying stupid things and I have enjoyed his foot in his mouth on many occasions, but this was too easy.

The President give him that terrible insult by saying he was articulate. After it was explained to me why calling an African-American person, articulate is an insult, I still can’t agree with it.  If someone told me I am articulate I would smile and say thank you. [Read more →]

Who will Barack Obama insult next — people who drive pickup trucks? Better yet, how about those rubes who go to NASCAR races?  The wheels are falling off of his campaign.

Hopefully he won’t embarrass himself like John Kerry did in Philadelphia in 2004.  (Kerry ordered a cheese steak with Swiss instead of Cheese Whiz – this brought hoots and yells from Philadelphians because ordering Swiss on a cheesesteak is like rooting for Dallas at an Eagles game.)

His campaign is starting to fall apart. There are two narratives that Barack Obama does not want to have associated with him. One is that he is an elitist and the other that he is a leftist –reasons why Democrats lose elections. Obama has managed to foster both in his gaffe and associations.

Obama is a smart but he is also rookie. Hillary, a veteran of many tough political battles, knew that if she kept in the race and continued to throw rice at the wall some of it would stick. It was only a matter of time before Obama would say or do something that would expose him for what he really is. Do you notice how those calls for Hillary to step aside have ceased?

Pennsylvania has 4.1 Million registered Democratic voters. According to the American Research Group poll Hillary has a 20% lead. If so, she will be able to wipe out Obama’s popular vote lead. If at the end of the process she has the lead in popular vote and Obama has the delegate lead, there will be a melee at the Democratic convention that will make 1968 look like a picnic.

What happened to change and future as a theme with Barack Obama?  While in San Francisco he made the following comments:

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothings replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.  

His comments show he does not understand most people’s concept of religion.  Religion is a person’s relationship with God. I look to my religion both in good times and bad, not just when I am bitter or angry. I thank God when I have a good day as well as when I am in trouble.  [Read more →]

I don’t remember Hillary complaining about China back in 90’s when her husband was granting waivers to tech companies that sold weapons to improve the accuracy of their nuclear missiles. Oh wait, those missiles were only pointed at us – notTibet.  Now that she’s running for President, she has all kinds of advice - like boycotting the Olympics .

Lets go down memory lane and look at some of the Clinton’s illegal Chinese fund raising that has put our nations security at risk.

During the year of the rat the Lippo group and James Riady, the wealthy Indonesian, funneled illegal Chinese campaign donations with John Huang. Click here for the Washington post article.

Charlie Trie, owned a Chinese restaurant in Arkansas that the Clinton’s loved to eat at. As a way if saying thank you, Charlie gave Bill’s campaign $460,000 – most in consecutive numbered $1000 money orders that his friends bought at a 7/11 one night. President Clinton Appreciated his help so much he named him to the Arkansas fire extinguisher board.

Is this all coming back my friends? The sad thing is I could go on and on. I fear the editors here at Monroe Rising will yell “enough”! Will John McCain’s honesty cause problems for him? Lets look at a some statements and actions that he has made and done.

1. He admitted economics is not his strong suit. The fact is most Presidential candidates don’t really understand economics. Hillary is either very ignorant about economics or she truly believes in socialism. She openly touts that she will take money from evil oil companies. She will bail out gamblers who took huge risks buying homes with risky mortgages.

Senator Obama, who I believe is a very smart man, will raise taxes on the people who create jobs, in the name of social justice. Does he really believe a CEO who makes a million dollars and provides jobs should pay about 60% of that income to the government? Even though he says his knowledge on economics is low, he has always looked closely at spending and has not backed tax cuts when they did not have spending cuts as well. Dear Readers,

When I am wrong I must admit it. I owe a “Hats off to Rottenchester”. It looks like Hillary Clinton owing possibly $20milion after her defeat is definitely no reason to pull out of the race. $20m would be tip money to her. It appears that the Clinton’s have made a ton of money since Bill left office. According to Time Magazine they made $109m since 2000.

I must question, what did they do to earn $109m? Hillary makes a $150k a year in the Senate and Bill has a pension of 186k for being an ex president.  Some of the amounts in 2007 came from his book which made him $4m. (I wonder how many copies the Emir of Dubai bought) There is $2.75m in partnership income. It’s possible they have been investing in McDonald’s franchises? No actually that was a partnership in supermarket chains with the Emir of Dubai. (I thought we weren’t suppose to be doing business with Dubai, or maybe thats just when a Republican president is involved with large deals that will help our country)  He sure did make a lot of money speaking though, over $10m mostly in foreign countries.  So it appears that what they were doing is peddling their influence around the world. However on the bright side it appears that they donated $10m to charity. Oh wait that charitable organization was to the Clinton Foundation.

Now for my last question. Why haven’t they been paying the health care of their campaign staff?
