The Democrat & Chronicle reported earlier today on the list of names read off by the League of Women Voters at their press conference of the candidates who signed the League’s Fair Campaign Pledge and unsurprisingly, one name in particular was not read off — Nasty Dirty Tricks Politician RICHard Dollinger.

We did some research to see if there could have been a mistake but we found out that candidates could either fax the signed pledge, mail it (postmarked this past Friday) or shown up in person to sign the pledge.  It was reported that Assemblyman Joe Errigo sent three faxes of the signed pledge to make sure he was covered.  The League knew that Assemblyman David Koon had not mailed or faxed his pledge, but was there in person to sign it (BTW, Koon’s opponent, Dave Bonnachi, signed the pledge).  Basically, letting the League know you were supportive of fair and non-malicious campaigning was idiot proof.  So either Dollinger chose to continue running his negative, mud-slinging campaign or he is an idiot. It is truly amazing how much the Liberals hate Sarah Palin. Accusing her of faking her pregnancy wasn’t enough. Today their hates bubbled over so much that the Obama campaign acquired Sarah Palin’s social security number and then released it to the media as part of their opposition research. Unreal.

This is disgusting. But, don’t forget… it’s off limits to mention Barack H. Obama’s middle name. I really hope their unrelenting attacks are getting to be too much for soccer moms everywhere.

Now I know there’s been a lot of theories about the timing of the much anticipated text message from Obama like this one reported in the Wall Street Journal Blog… but, I wanted to ask all our readers/bloggers what their theories are with regard the timing of the text.

I just don’t buy that the 3 am text was a direct shot at Hillary’s previous 3 am attack at him. I was chatting with one of my friends who’s an ardent Obama supporter and he didn’t buy it either, but he thought it was because the pick got leaked and they needed to just get it out there before it was in all the media anyway.

Call me a skeptic, but I think there was another reason that will make sense later on in this election. I think this text message was largely designed to test the timing and effectiveness of the blogosphere. I’m not sure if anyone noticed this, but one of the liberal freaks at rochesterturning actually logged on at 3:35 am to report the Biden pick on their blog. I really can’t be the only person that thinks that’s absurd.

That’s what leads me to my theory that as much as the Obama campaign tries to debunk the mass email/whisper campaign against him, they are also developing a new way to go on the attack. Now that they have the cell phone numbers of millions of Obamamaniacs, the McCain smears can flow quickly and effectively and be posted on blogs not affiliated with the Obama campaign in… well… 35 minutes apparently.

What has come over RICHard Dollinger lately?  First he demands that he be allowed to dictate a debate format that he and his political attack machine personally control.  We’ve since learned that his “open debate forum” was a room full of Dollinger’s handpicked supporters who shouted down anyone who attempted to ask a question that wasn’t prescreened by Dollinger’s political campaign staff.  People from the neighborhood who attended what they thought was a community discussion on street violence apparently walked out when they realized Dollinger’s sole purpose was to attack his opponent with lies and slick rhetoric.

Well, Dollinger has now sank to a new low.  We just got word that a small group of Dollinger supporters belonging to the political special interest group NOW, attempted to disrupt a Women’s Wellness Fair that was sponsored by Senator Joe Robach and 103.9 WDKX this weekend at the Greece Ridge Mall.  Bad, bad move RICHard.  Dollinger’s people pushed themselves on the regular participants of this fair by leaf-letting their tables with a political smear flier most likely paid for by Dollinger’s New York City political attack machine lead by the self proclaimed Senate Democrat extortionist, Malcolm Smith.  Also, the group conducted their disruption illegally on mall grounds, pushing their attack flier on regular people trying to go about their private business, assumedly making purchases to get their children ready for school.  We heard mall security asked Dollinger’s people to stop bothering patrons and made them leave the property. I was having lunch with a fellow blogger the other day and we had a interesting conversation. Are liberals really ignorant about how things work or do they deliberately get things wrong to fit their arguments?

Take the recent attempt by Harry Bronson to remove Legislature President Wayne Zyra. Occam had a great post on this and there is no need for a re-hash about those details, but it is hard to believe that this was little more than a publicity stunt — an attempt to focus on stuff that gets the liberal/progressive/socialists worked up.

They do this by writing posts that contain false information and then continue to repeatedly refer to their own false information to spew more of their hatred.

We make no secret of the fact that we regularly monitor rochesterturning.com.  It is entertaining and interesting to see what goes through those warped minds.  We found this gem on one of their recent post about Harry’s pr stunt to remove President Zyra:

This statement is flat out wrong –either total ignorance or a deliberate lie.  The Democrats were trying to suspend the rules (ironic for a group so dedicated to “the process”).  Removing Zyra wasn’t on the agenda so it would take 20 votes to suspend the rules and have the item considered.  This is a basic premise that would be taught in advanced college political science classes — such as pol.sci. 101.

Another lie or misinformation was that “only one republican would have to break ranks to remove Zyra.”  No, on that night 6 Republicans would have to break ranks. One would like to think that an attorney of Harry skills would have a basic understanding of this concept.

This post is already pretty long, but there is one more point worth making.  Democratic County Legislature staff member Jiminybizbo posted a comment recently on another county employee speaking out at RICHard Dollinger political stunt (surprisingly this event was ignored by mainstream media) where Dollinger tried to set Joe Robach up with a stacked house, and suggested a possible conflict of interest with a long definition of what constitutes a conflict of interest.  It has nothing to do with what than person did, but I’m sure a bunch of the liberal/progressive/socialist got worked up into a frenzy.

Funny, one would think a Democratic staff member who suggested that a fellow county employee was a drug addict on that same website would have violated some type of policy.  Well, maybe that would just be a violation of the rules of decency.

Anyway, these are a few facts for you to consider when you ask yourself: are some liberals just not that bright — or do they just like to lie?

The people in this community always knew that RICHard Dollinger cared more about his own political career than helping the people of the 56th State Senate District.  That’s why he had no qualms about bailing out on them to try to get a better government job.  But he failed, twice.  Now he wants his old job back and wants us to believe that NOW he really cares about the people.

Well, RICHard Dollinger has reached an all time low.  It’s no longer about the political power for him.  It’s now purely about the money.  Straight up campaign cold hard cash.  We’d picked up from several sources that Dollinger was harassing people for political contribution money.  But we had no idea how intensely he was pushing.  Apparently, RICHard was very desperate to rake in as much campaign cash as possible before the financial filing deadline.  He even called reporters to tell them how much he had even though he was going to file publicly an hour or so later.

Democrats claim that Dollinger will personally benefit from some of Tom Golisano’s wealth, despite RICHard’s promise to support Clean Money, Clean Elections.  Principle means nothing to RICHard Dollinger when you wave wads of cash in front of his face.

So, in addition to illegal, attack mailers and robo calls being made by his campaign or on his behalf, we also see that Dollinger will harass folks for and sell out for political money.  If elected, RICHard Dollinger and his votes apparently can be bought by whomever has the most cash.

First it was the illegal political attack piece mailed out by Dollinger’s NYC senate campaign team which we reported to you here.  Not only was the mailpiece illegal because the campaign didn’t put a return address on it, but its accusation was intentionally misleading.  Another attack mailer sent out previously that we’ve seen looked very similar to the illegal one, but included an address for the mailhouse Dollinger’s political team is using, but no name.  We figured it out though.

We had also heard that there were some phone calls being made a few months ago also out of New York City that said Rochester City School funding was being sent to New York City.  Kinda odd that the calls were from New York City though.  Isn’t that where Dollinger’s senate political campaign committee is located?  (That was rhetorical, of course it is.)  They must have been referencing the $21 million in education cuts former disgraced Democrat Governor Eliot Spitzer was planning to take from our children’s schools.  Had Joe Robach, Jim Alesi, Mike Nozzolio and George Maziarz not stopped Spitzer and the rest of the New York City Democrats, we really would have seen school tax increases this year go through the roof.

The latest Dollinger political dirty tricks employed by his campaign team are what are known as push-polling phone calls, whereby the caller gives you several negative statements about a person and then asks you if those negative statements would make you want to vote for him or her.  Gee, why not just come out and call the people in Rochester stupid.  Sorry, we’re aint as smarter asis you all high fallutin’ New Yalk City folksiz. The state’s Freedom Of Information Law (FOIL) requires the government to release documents to the public upon request.  Certain types of confidential documents are exempted from the statute, but generally speaking, a citizen can file a FOIL request and receive a substantial amount of information about the workings of government. 

 Not surprisingly, the press considers FOIL to be more important in the history of human development than the discovery of penicillin (but ranked just below abortion on demand - ohhh that was a cheap shot, wasn’t it?).  What I find amusing is when the press is faced with a conflict between the beloved FOIL law and a leftist reformer politician.

 This little drama is playing out in Albany before our very eyes.  As you may recall, the District Attorney of Albany County is leftist reformer David Soares.  According to his official website, “David has successfully helped to redefine the role of the Albany County DA as the criminal justice prosecution arm for the entire state of New York with a focus on public integrity.” 

Earlier this year, he conducted an “inquiry” into the Troopergate scandal and concluded that Governor “Black Socks” “Steamroller” “Client 9″ Spitzer had done no wrong.  Amusingly, after Spitzer resigned, Soares released a second report that concluded that Spitzer actually would have faced impeachment for Troopergate, and that the first report was wrong. 

Nice timing, you courageous reformer!

In any event, the reporter who broke the Troopergate story filed a FOIL request with the DA’s office to get some of the documents related to DA Soares’s “inquiry;” in particular, he wanted transcripts of interviews Soares conducted with Spitzer and his top advisors.  Soares refused to turn over the documents.  The reporter appealed to the FOIL Request Appeals Officer, who determined that the documents should be released.

According to a story in today’s Post (a decidedly non-leftist media outlet): “The potentially explosive ruling was issued nearly two weeks ago, and Soares, in a blatant and possibly unprecedented violation of the Freedom of Information Law, has refused to make the documents available, much less say whether he will honor what is a legally binding ruling.”

Way to follow the laws you are charged to enforce, you courageous reformer! 

The entertaining thing will be to see how the New York Times and other media outlets report this story (if at all).  Stay tuned!
