The Democrat & Chronicle reports that City Councilmember Lovely Warren will take control of the Rochester City Council as its president next year. Warren works for Democrat State Assemblyman David Gantt and will most likely take her lead on all matters coming before City Council from Gantt himself. That’s a very, very scary thought.
We’ve made it very clear that we think David Gantt is a terrible Assemblyman who cares more about his own personal gain that the poor people he pretends to represent. The media, despite Gantt treating them like total crap, love this guy and give him passes on his questionable actions.
Remember this famous quote:
Assemblyman David Gantt, D-Rochester, denied that his party’s leadership made lawmakers wait for long periods.
“Republicans will tell you anything. Don’t call me about that kind of stuff. I hear that kind of stuff all the time. They were having meetings and we were having meetings,” Gantt said.
But Gantt said he didn’t know how much of the special session was spent in the chambers.
“I don’t want to talk to you,” Gantt told a reporter.
Asked why, he said: “Because that’s me.”
I feel bad for city residents that Gantt will now be the one making decisions that affect every single one of them and not just those who’ve been unfortunate enough to live in his district.
Sorry, but you’re all screwed.
