We reported on channel 8’s Evan Axelbank’s story on the Senate Democrats tax payer funded campaign outreach office on Wednesday.
There was a second part of the report– sorry no video link. Mayor Duffy’s staff and County Executive Brooks tell Axelbank that they’ve had no contact with anyone from that office.
The State Senate says part of the goal of the Rochester office is to build “high-level” relationships with elected officials in hopes of delivering dollars from Albany. However, if you ask the Mayor’s office or the County Executive, that’s not happening.
“We have not had any communication, telephone or otherwise,” said Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks. “At first blush, maybe you’d think it was a political statement, but we have regular communication with the Governor’s local office, and we have regular communication with the Attorney General’s local office.”
City Hall says they don’t have much of a relationship with the senate staff either.
“I did a check of phone records going back several months, and not much. We haven’t had any calls between the two offices, or contact,” said city communications director Gary Walker.
Just more proof on why Democrats are unfit to lead New York State. With families struggling and the state in the worse fiscal crisis in almost 40 years, these yo-yos are creating government funded campaign offices with people who aren’t even smart enough to pretend they are doing legitimate government work.
Change, isn’t it grand!
