I’ve always felt Aaron Wicks and Christopher Wilmot over at Smugtown Beacon do a good job with their posts and commentary.  While we at Monroerising don’t always agree with their perspective, their articles are well thought out and their research extensive.  That, and we at MR have a bond with them as we both had the pleasure of being the target of an overly aggressive and nasty upstart blog whose sole intent was to trash us and our work.  Mustard Street shared the spotlight with us also.  The three of us are still here though.  The upstart?  Well, let’s just say he’s got bigger problems than us to worry about right now.  If only someone saved some of his nastier posts.  If only.   

But I digress.

Smugtown has two post-election articles that I think are great reads.  I encourage MR readers to check them out.  The first is general coverage on Democratic losses and GOP gains/retentions.  The second one gives their take on why the Monroe County Democratic Party failed to win races, basically the local Democratic Party and their candidates had no message.
