Still ten months into his administration President Obama is complaining that the problems he is working on (or not working on) are inherited. The presidency is not an inheritance it is a position he had sought out. We elect a president to solve problems not remind us whose fault it was.

A wise business manager debates the solutions not the problems. Once a problem has been identified it is important to begin the process of repairing the problem and not continually pointing the finger of blame. In a business organization to keep focusing on the problem and it’s causes will  keep them from solving the problem.  It will also create moral problems that will bleed into other projects and future issues.

Not only does the president continue to blame the previous administration. He is also creating new scapegoats. Blaming Fox News, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the insurance industry, This is divisive and created nothing but fights and no solutions. 

My message to the President is “Mr. Obama Solve our problems, don’t keep reminding us what they are”.  The presidency is not an Inheritance it is a duty.
