souyousay, The D&C wants to sell newspapers, that's it! They go through the interview process and do not endorse a challenger when the incumbent is likely to win. They check the shift in voter registrations in the towns and make a decision based on newspaper sales. When the race is contentious they would like to side with a democrat because they are a liberal paper. In Greece, the D&C cannot choose an option for supervisor without hurting their subscription sales.
Now, look at Maloney's campaign, the police corruption the tax assessor, this is bad, that is bad, vote for ME. All negative! Based on his experiences, what does this union president of a failing business have to offer in leadership skills for a town of 100,000 people ?
He just needs a new job.

Soyousay, I took the liberty of correcting your misspelling of John Auberger's name. If you're going to take a shot at someone, at least know how to spell their name correctly.

I haven't paid too much attention to this race but Dan Maloney must be a complete tool to have blown what should have been a cakewalk endorsement.

People have said that Dan isn't very intelligent and that he doesn't know the first thing about how to run a municipality. Watching what I have of this race, it's quite clear that they and the D&C are right. The non-endorsement went after Auberger very aggressively and yet even they could not choke down an endorsement for someone who isn't remotely qualified.

The extent of Maloney's campaign has been negative attack and cheap parlor trick style press conferences. Dan doesn't want to be taken seriously and therefore has not been.

Dan Maloney himself has blown the democrats' chance of having free reighn to raise taxes on Greece residents and install unqualified unions workers in top positions in town government.

I think we owe Dan Maloney a great big thank you for tanking his and his team's campaign this year. Good job Dan.

It isn't saying much for Auberger that he didn't get the endorsement.

I say advantage Maloney on this one.

I think residents just might give Dan a shot just to see ole Jack get the boot.

Loretta may be right. If you look at Dan Maloney's biography on his website, he
attended Holy Rosary School in Rochester and Edison technical institute. Why doesn't he say what year he graduated from Edison ?

You should look in to his education. I've heard he has a GED -- that might explain why he's so confused about town finances.
