After many years of failure in seeking judicial office, bailing on contituents, and losing in a district with a 35k enrollment advantage, Rick still coudn't count on getting even an appointed job without some political meneuvering. But heck, in the end, Rick doesn't care. He got what he's always wanted. A nice, cushy, high-paying job that he really didn't have to work too hard to get. Let's wait and see though if he quits this one too for a better offer. At almost $140,000, I doubt that he will or that he's remotely qualified to get another gig that pays even more.
