So much for Obama’s promise of open and transparent government for the people of this country.  This is much like what we’ve witnessed for the past six months from the New York City controlled state government.  Their claims too of creating a government that is open and free from the great big thumb of control are just one big crock of doo doo.

We’ve reported before how select members of the press were prescreened before interviews with the President, ensuring that those in the media who wrote favorable reports on Obama during the campaign were rewarded for their efforts and assistance to then candidate Obama.

Bullwinkle also got his hands on a press release explaining Obama’s “open government initiative.”  It’s a great read and is very informative on exactly how the President plans to share information with the public. :D

I’ll give the press some credit on this one.  It looks like they’re finally getting fed up with Obama’s pretend “town hall style” meetings.  It turns out they’re not really town hall style at all.  We’re lead to believe these sham meetings are opportunities for the public to just walk in and begin asking any whatever questions they want of the most powerful man in the world.  Not so.  The entire thing is orchestrated, prescreened and planned out to the tee.  It helps Obama get the teleprompter set up with his canned responses.  I wonder how they get him to look perplexed as if he’s in deep thought pondering a question when he’s already had it in advance?

Watch this video on the media calling out Whitehouse Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on the faux town hall meeting.  He actually argues with the reporters while attempting to implement the “let’s move on and call on someone else” tactic.

Once again, Democrat officials desperately want to believe the public and the media are stupid and that we’ll buy their bs rhetorical claims of transparent government, knowing al the while they have absolutely no intention of giving it to us.

This Democrat pattern of telling us what we want to hear on open government and doing the complete opposite is insulting and offensive.  It permeates the highest levels, has been rampant for six months in state government and will be the crux of their campaigns at the local level this year.

Keep track of how many times you hear a Democrat candidates say “I’m running because I want to open up (fill in the blank) government for the people who should have a say in what’s going on.”

What they won’t tell you now is this… “If you voters think that’s what I’ll do if elected, you’re dumber than I think.”

Now those are some Progressive values!
