At least Harry Bronson and Monroe County Legislature Democrats are consistent.  They’re still trying to politicize the Robutrad issue to score political points. Did you see Harry’s response to Republican plans to end the relationship with Robutrad?

From the Democrat and Chronicle:

Harry Bronson, the legislature’s Democratic minority leader, said the Robutrad investigation has demonstrated “a problem of corruption, a problem of pay-to-play, a problem of putting politics before people” with the Brooks administration.

Bronson criticized the Brooks administration for making no outreach to Democrats about the proposal to end the Robutrad contract. He noted that the media received the proposal at Brooks’ news conference before any Democrats did.

Harry, did you really think you would get a phone call inviting you to anything after that press conference your pal Vincent Esposito had a couple of weeks ago?  He tried to score political points by demanding that Sheriff Pat O’Flynn appear before the stellar team the Democrats have on the Public Safety Committee.

The only problem was Vince, or any other Democrat, could not site any specific questions they would like answered.  This is from the D&C article covering that “news” conference:

Democrats in the County Legislature called Friday for Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn to appear before the legislature’s public safety committee to answer questions “raised by his involvement” in the investigation of alleged fraud committed against the county.

Democrats, however, could not say what questions they would ask O’Flynn that would not overlap with the ongoing investigation.

Even District Attorney Mike Green, a Democrat, distanced himself for County Legislature Democrats.  From that same article:

District Attorney Michael Green, a Democrat, said Friday that the Sheriff’s Office and the FBI have been thoroughly investigating the allegations. He said O’Flynn wasted no time last year calling his office after the Brooks administration became suspicious of activities involving former official Robert Morone.

“The county executive went to the Sheriff’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office immediately called my office,” Green said.

Green said he and others involved in the investigation expected “that someone was going to cry politics.” O’Flynn is facing opposition to his re-election in November.

A lesser man than Harry might stop and regroup, but that’s not Harry’s style.  He was right back trying to score political points.  It’s never been more obvious why the jackass is the symbol of the Democrats!
