I don’t understand why so many liberals are filled with so much hate.  Jimminy Rittler, Democratic Monroe County Legislature staffer, attacked Repoman on the local liberal/progressive/socialist blog for comments he made here at monroerising.com.

Now I can understand people going after me. It’s happened all of my life.  My good looks have been as much as a curse as a blessing.  Sure, I always dated the prettiest girls and my wife is very attractive — a lot of people resent me for being so handsome.  But why would anyone go after Repoman?  His blog is on our blogroll and he is very thought provoking and he goes out of his way to be as polite as possible.

Joe Bizbo went after Repoman for giving his side of the Robutrad scandle.  You can see Repoman’s comment here and Joe Bizbo’s attack here. Note how Joe Bizbo also goes after Greece Supervisor John Auberger (he lies about his fundraising) and all Republican Supervisors for their employees donating to their campaigns.

I’m pretty sure Jiminy Rittler reads the newspaper because of the job he has in the legislature.  Do you think he forgot this article about Bob Duffy’s campaing fundraising? Interesting points from that story:

Mayor Robert Duffy, who has all but announced he will run for re-election this year, has raised more than $310,000 in campaign donations from city employees and those who conducted business with the city during his three years in office.

That’s about a third of the roughly $1 million he took in between January 2006 and January 2009, according to a Democrat and Chronicle analysis of state Board of Elections records.

Records show that city vendors — from engineering firms to construction outfits that have been awarded contracts — account for about a quarter of the 220 or so companies that donated to the mayor’s political committee during his first two-and-a-half years in office.

Donors include Anthony J. Costello and Son Development, which contributed $5,000 to the mayor’s campaign in April 2007 as the mayor requested City Council authorization to pay the company $244,000 in state funds to design and build a recreational trail along the Erie Canal. In 2008, the company gave another $5,000.

About 20 individuals with business dealings with the city and about 40 city workers — many of whom were given jobs and received thousands of dollars in bonuses under the mayor — collectively gave about $80,000 to Duffy. They included Police Chief David Moore, who gave $650, and Corporation Counsel Thomas Richards, who with his wife donated $7,500.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with the Democratic Mayor’s Corporation Counsel donating $7500, that’s the way the system works.  I do have a problem with people like Joe Bizbo writing the trash he writes and saying Republicans are corrupt. 

I can’t help but wonder what makes Jiminy Ritler and these other liberals so hate filled.  Did something bad happen to them in their childhood?  An overbearing father, a brother or sister who achieved more than they did?  Were they picked on as children so they vent their anger at Republicans? 

Something just doesn’t click with these people.  I would suggest two things.  The first is psychotherapy and the second is religion.  Look inward to recognize your inner demons and turn to Jesus to help you overcome them!
