Jon Powers Refuses To Concede!
Jane Flasch on Channel 13 is reporting that despite reports that Alice Kryzan is the clear-cut winner in the 26th Congressional District, Jon Powers has not conceded and congratulated Kryzan on her win.
This is very interesting. Jon Powers is still running on Metro Justice’s Working Families line (it’s no longer the union/labor line) and had overwhelming support from all Democrat Party chairmen (including our very own cat-whisperer chairman, Joe Morelle).
Since he’s still in the race, albeit way, way down on the ballot, Powers may be working right now to marshall the chairs to continue to support him over Kryzan.
No way the Democrat party bosses buck the party faithful and continue pushing for Powers?
Although, DCCC, Nancy Pelosi and Hollywood do have a lot of money invested in Powers.
Nawwwww? Really?
This may get even more exciting.
Go Jon Powers! Go Jack Davis!

I am not surprised. Jon Powers needs to end this right now. Be a man and acknowledge that Alice was the better candidate.
We voted against Jon Powers and Jack Davis’ brand of dirty campaining and that’s why they lost.
Jon Powers should suspend his campaign and allow Alice a free ride through November.
Jackson is back -
Alice is by no means a better candidate - she was supporter by 3 main streem Republicans.
I fully endorse Chris Lee.
Alice is a (expletive deleted) and deserves to get smoked in the general election.
The people of WNY will now get what they deserve - two terrible candidates for congress.
Welcome back Mr. Jackson -
I was concerned Kryzan would get the nod in the primary, I don’t prefer her or her beliefs, She represents the same liberal philosophy that Dollinger and Slaughter follow….. I do prefer Chris Lee- so there - we have one thing in common - and except for some yuckie comments you made that weren’t necessary to bring your point home, I did read your comment. Were you are the Republican convention or with the Red Cross in New Orleans?
Yes GidgetI agree.
I will be voting Working Family Party. I refuse to vote for Kryzan, and people can say what they want about Powers - he is a great person and a great WNY’er.
Davis spent a million dollars slandering him even creating a false website. He took Powers down with him.
Kryzan consultants were smart in their moves and a had a catchy commercial - but that doesn’t mean a good congressman.
It’s nearly impossible for a 3rd party candidate to pull off a victory - so I hope Powers draws enough votes from Kryzan that Lee wins.
I believe between Lee and Kryzan - Lee is by far a better choice.
For the Rep. Convention - I honestly didn’t get to see enough of it. I don’t agree with Sarah Palin and the love fest for her - but it was a great political move.
I do like Biden and Obama (obviously I’m a Dem) but I don’t dislike McCain. His age does concern me. Palin’s views are out of line with mine - and I don’t like the option of having her second in command.
I won’t attack her personally like some Dem’s are - just a disagreement of opinions. I will be a great race and I hope voter turn out is large — but I hope it’s educated votes.
Jackson My Man,
Good to see you back. We missed you. Guess you needed to teach everyone a lesson first
I tried to stay above the fray of all the power davis stuff, I must admit I was shocked. With the amount of advertising powers did the last week (and it looked good too) I thought he would pull it off.
Will Powers continue to run on the WFP line? Will he actively campaign?
