Question: When Is An Open Forum Not So Open?
Answer: When it’s dictated and controlled by Run Away RICHard Dollinger.
It’s nice having interested citizens help us share with the public how some candidates conduct their political campaigns.
Dollinger held another one of his “I make the rules” debates Tuesday night. It was billed as “open to the pubic” and supposedly anyone was allowed to come and participate.
Unfortunately, when RICHard Dollinger says open forum, what he really means is open only to his paid campaign staff and political supporters.
Sadly, the Rules According to RICHard for Tuesday’s Dollinger Debate Sham included impeding one attendees effort to videotape the event.
Now, many of you Dollinger supporters might say, “If Dick doesn’t want anyone besides his political team knowing what he’s saying or doing, well, that’s his right. If he doesn’t want anyone to videotape him because he’s spreading lies and half-truths, well, he can do that if he wants. After all, HE dictated the format, the times and the dates. It’s RICHard’s show.” And normally I’d agree with you except for two quick points:
1. Dollinger claims these forums are open to the public and that all are welcome. But more importantly,
2. Dollinger allowed several other videos to be taken at the event.
So, certain people are allowed to tape your events, but others aren’t?
The way we heard it, Dollinger directed his Albany/NYC paid political staffer to order the individual to turn of her camera and then hovered around her to make sure she obeyed. Intimidation tactics at a supposed open, public forum?
What’s worse than that? We’re told and I’m sure witnesses (not the paid political staff or campaign supporters mind you) can confirm that later in the evening when the young lady left the event, Dollinger had the male political staffer follow the young woman out to her car (much to her surprise and concern we’re told) where he them began to take pictures of her, her car and her license plate.
Are you freakin’ kidding me? What the hell is Dollinger doing? What are you going to do with photos of this young woman and her license plate? You gonna have your boys follow her out to her car again on another night? Intimidation tactics like this, where you sick your attack dogs on people to make them fear you, is very reflective of those used by the man who supposedly promised Dollinger a job for running for this seat. You got it, well known democrat dirty political trickster and disgraced former governor, Eliot Spitzer.
Rick, seriously, all malicious attack politics aside. I don’t care if she was a Robach supporter, volunteer, cousin or whatever (let’s be real, she had to be one of these), call off the dogs and tell your guys to leave her alone. We all know there sometimes is a really bad side to politics. Don’t go there.
As we reported at Dollinger’s first fake open forum, his supporters tried to intimidate and shout down others who tried to get RICHard to answer some real questions.
And Dollinger has the gall attack Joe Robach for not attending these setups.
Again, RICH, are you kidding?

That is disgusting. I’ve always heard that Rick Dollinger was a bad man and that he practices cutthroat politics.
That poor girl. I hope she was’t too shaken up by Mr. Dollinger’s campaign worker going after her like that.
Rick just confirmed all the bad things I’ve heard about him.
