UNBELIEVABLE: Democrats Release Sarah Palin’s Social Security Number
Posted on September 3rd, 2008 by Zeke
It is truly amazing how much the Liberals hate Sarah Palin. Accusing her of faking her pregnancy wasn’t enough. Today their hates bubbled over so much that the Obama campaign acquired Sarah Palin’s social security number and then released it to the media as part of their opposition research. Unreal.
This is disgusting. But, don’t forget… it’s off limits to mention Barack H. Obama’s middle name. I really hope their unrelenting attacks are getting to be too much for soccer moms everywhere.

They did the same thing to Michael Steele during his Maryland senate campaign run. There is a lot at stake with Palin. If she is successful and McCains gamble pays off the democrats are in big trouble. Doing things like that are actually a desperate move I can understand the ruthlessness.
Wait, now Republicans care about Social Security numbers being available??
Oh right, that’s the difference, Sarah Palin isn’t a poor sap getting foreclosed upon. She’s a financially secure individual in a position of power. I’m just making sure I understand this right.
So Republicans care more about the incomplete (5) Social Security number of one of their own being public, than HUNDREDS of ordinary taxpayers have their ENTIRE Social Security numbers being available for all to see and take advantage of.
But I’m sure this is all the Democrats fault

I assume what you are referring to is the Clerks Office and the documents that had non-redacted social security numbers on it?
There is a huge difference, The clerks office did not dig up the social security numbers and display them for the public. They were erroneously left on documents, some that went back many administrations. As a matter of fact the person that made it public knowledge was Tom Hasman the democratic computer security consultant running for the clerks office. If he was really interested in public good and computer security he would have quietly went to the county clerk and informed her of the situation. Then after the situation was resolved he could have scored his political points. What Hasman chose to do is “out” the public social security numbers for political advantage by having a press conference in front of the county office building and blind siding the county clerk. Thats not really much different form the political scumbags who dug up Palins Social Security number and made it public.
Klem,
Yeah, if Hasman told the media about the glitch before doing anything about it, I guess you could blame it on the democrats.
Amen Ex - I hope Klem checks back in. I want to hear his rebuttal.
I really enjoy reading foolish democrat logic with a good cup of coffee.
Mr. Hasman put hundreds of Monroe County and City of Rochester citizens at risk. And why did he do that? Just to get some free media coverage from a political press conference. Hasman is, by his own actions, a one man security risk.
Nice try with the political spin there Klem.
But even you have to admit that it was dumb.
Or do you really believe your own local democrat party rhetoric?
I almost wasn’t going to respond to this rubbish, but the extraordinarily (even by this pages’ standard) shortsighted use of facts that you conservatives are using is too much. Allow me to remove the blinders…
It seems you’ve forgotten that Cheryl DiNolfo had been aware of this issue for quite sometime. Democrats responsibly informed DiNolfo of this oversight over a year ago and yet nothing seems to have been done about it. So don’t give me this line of crap that Hasman endangered the security of these individuals when it was the blatant incompetence and inaction of Clerk DiNolfo’s office that is real source of the problem.
Maybe if the Dems truly hadn’t done anything about this until this political season to something, then you might have a point, albeit a weak and feeble rationale used by a blushingly embarrassed party. But the Democrats, specifically County Legislator Travis Heider DID do something about it and it was ignored. Shouldn’t we hold our officials accountable when we give them a year to take care of something so simple as this?? It’s just matter of removing the files.
Or have you been drinking your own local republican party kool-aid for too long?!?
C’mon boys, don’t make this so easy for me. I know this is an extremist blog, but I expect more of a challenge.

Even if that’s true that there was prior notification. That still doesn’t excuse Hasman from pulling a political stunt by revealing the fact to the public. There is no doubt it was a political stunt he was already declared as a candidate running for clerks office.
No doubt it was endangering to the community what he did. If you really believe that he never had politics in mind you are either naive or you are as politically ruthless as what you accuse Republicans of doing.
Even if all this is true and we are 100% wrong it still does not excuse the democratic muckrakers of releasing Palins social security number which was the original post. It also does not excuse what they did to Michael Steele, where they stole his social security number and obtained private credit records. Democrats have a pattern of doing this, Obama virtually got into the senate by getting private divorce records of his opponent.
Interesting that the Dems are always crying about privacy and how Bush is taking away their rights, its suddenly OK when they really do it to win elections.
One other point, we have woman her as well, not just boys, I understand now that there is a woman on a Republican ticket its suddenly OK to be sexist.
