Sun Makes History: First Spotless Month in a Century

The sun has reached a milestone not seen for nearly 100 years: an entire month has passed without a single visible sunspot being noted. The event is significant as many climatologists now believe solar magnetic activity – which determines the number of sunspots — is an influencing factor for climate on earth, scientists now fear this will cause an ice age.

The question remains for Al Gore: Did earths global warming cause the sun to not spot? An ice age would be disaterous for a global warming alarmists making huge dollars off of the scam.  Democrats are wondering:  How can this be blamed on Republicans?

  1. Next you’ll be claiming the GOP and the big oil folks knew about this and were trying to save us all by putting enough toxins in the air to make earth more like Venus, in preparation for the ice age.

Anything to comfort your crippled world view. Maybe next you’ll suggest we can just pull the sun closer to the surface. Since clearly the earth is flat, and everything revolves around it, in perfectly circular orbits.

  2. Woody,

Calm down Bullwinkle is just reporting facts and using satire, you are biting.

It is a fact that there have been no sunspots . It is a fact that scientists believe that the suns magnetic field are causing climate change.

Why are we to believe Al Gore and his scientists? If Al Gore and the other global warming alarmists would be willing to have open debates it would go a long way towards convincing people, if they can prove the severity of what they say. The problem is if you are sitting on our side of the fence it looks like it is just a attack on oil and republicans.

Maybe you should take a close look at Sarah Palin. She was very tough on oil companies.

  3. Woody,

Bullwinkle is goofy enough to make such a claim, don’t encourage him.

I do agree with Vic on the fact that, Gore does make it look political, his “The debate is over”, stance seems rigid. His personal life seems questionable whether he believes it.

My position is as a conservative I naturally conserve. I have a high fuel mileage car, I turn my lights off when not in use and I recycle my reusable goods. However I am very much opposed to making a political issue out of it. Which Mr. Gore does on a regular basis.
