Albany Times Union Calls Out Dollinger/Nachbar Flip-flop

Got a big laugh outta this one.  It’s a little old but worth the read.  Here’s a story in the uber-liberal Albany Times Union.  Even THEY can’t help but call out millionaire candidates RICHard Dollinger and Dave Nachbar on their flip-flop on their now lack of support for Governor David Patterson’s and Senators Robach and Alesi’s efforts to provide property tax relief to working families in our community.  Here’s a snippet of the article written by Irene Jay Liu:

They accuse Robach and Alesi of “participating, while on the public dime, in a special session of the state Senate that has served as nothing more than a political public relations gimmick…”

Hm.

Just a little over a month ago, the same Dollinger and Nachbar sent out a press release where they “BLAST REPUBLICANS ROBACH AND ALESI FOR LEAVING ALBANY WITHOUT GETTING THEIR JOBS DONE,” in which “the candidates listed a litany of bills that the Republicans Senate refused to pass in a critical year for New Yorkers, including a property tax cap…

I agree.  Hm.  How does Dollinger and Nachbar call for a property tax cap one day, and then when their opponents actually get it passed, they attack them for getting it done?

I think the real flip-flop is Dollinger and Nachbar going against what Robach, Alesi, Governor Patterson and 70+% of the people in this state want — property tax relief.

I seem to remember another official who went against what 78% of the people of this state wanted back in March.  Even if he wasn’t finally caught spending $80,000 on hookers, I still think Elliot Spitzer was on his way out.  The voters would have taken care of that.

I’ll bet “defender-of-the-elite” RICHard Dollinger wishes he wasn’t tied so closely to Spitzer right now.  But exchanging the support of Elliot Spitzer for George Soros, the same guy many Jewish Americans call an anti-semite, might not have been such a good move either.  But seeing as Dollinger has also fallen in with our very own local corrupt politician, Assemblyman David Gantt and his cronies — I guess I’m not surprised.

And I think Nachbar is just along for the ride.  My guess is that we’ll see that $175,000 loan he kicked himself for the campaign get paid back before the race is over.  Great local support.  He’s in way over his head.  He sold out all those workers at Bausch & Lomb as a former corporate executive over there — a real people’s kinda guy.

Keep up the good work Dave and RICH!  The people in this community are really counting on you guys to blow it big time.

  1. There’s a shocker! Another Rick Dollinger flip, flop. That’s the story of his life. Rick switches his positions on issues based on which way the wind blows. I’ve always heard that he’ll tell groups with two totally opposite opinions that he supports both when the other isn’t watching. This comes as no surprise.
