Holy cow — how is this for a smoking gun? I couldn’t post this directly on our site — I’m technologically challenged — maybe one of our more savvy contributors can fix this for me. Click on this image to see the citation Jon Jon received four years ago. Warning it contains offensive language. It is a direct contradiction to the lies spread by Powers’ hired guns (a citation for jaywalking) and the comments of his apologists in the internet.

Are you serious? Totally drunk or not, I can’t imagine a normal person treating a police officer this way.
I think the writing along the side is a trashed Jon Powers attempting to write that it was another drunk guy in a funny hat who called the police officer a mutherf*cker.
He must have been trying to write “I WISH I didn’t say that.” But he was too sh*tfaced.
What a jerk. He’s lucky he’s a vet because that’s the only reason they must have dropped the charges. Regular folks don’t get to treat our men and women of law enforcement like garbage and then go on to steal money promised to poor children. What a male organ.

Maybe these people runnig this site hate disney characters and the Bills for the same reason you and Jon Powers hate policemen and women, and poor children.

I never said the cop was an evil Republican or had it out for Jon Powers. I just noted he was able to write that on the ticket and the police office let him (the majority of Rochester cops that I know wouldn’t let someone write anything on the ticket - it’s either sign it or get handcuffed). So there must have been some sort of conversation between the two for the cop to let him make notes.
A citation is also not an arrest or conviction, the charge was put down to impeding or blocking taffic (aka jaywalking).
Check out the handwriting, looks like a sober person write it too me. If he was “sh*tfaced” as you claim why would he have the right mind to make a note that he’s innocent? If he was treating a police officer so badly why wouldn’t the cop haul him off to jail right there?
Way to try and stretch everything. I think Davis ran a red light once, maybe he was the man on the grassy knoll.
lmjp you attack War Kids so you must be Domoglowski (or however you spell it). You obviously missed all the other blogs (including the one with part of the IRS filing) that shows Powers only made 15K for two years of work on that project.

lmjp54 - on a side note i do take that as a compliment when you think I’m Powers.
I wish I had half the character he did. That guy served our country proudly, went back as a civilian, started a charity in his mid-20’s that brought national attention to the youth culture in Iraq, and has the ability to get up everyday to do what’s right while people like you and I sit around complaining about things.
I know it must be shocking for you to see someone who actually supports a candidate. I know you’re used to people just slamming other candidates and then never really saying - I support this guy, or this is what my candidate of choice will do for WNY - you’re just used to candidates yelling how horrible the other person is.
It’s ok… someday you’ll be able to get over the fact that people do support other people. I know it’s crazy to think about. But slowly you’ll understand someday.

Jon and his minions spend so much time preaching how he is reaching out directly to the people of WNY, but what we don’t ever see is JON POWERS addressing the tough issues that voters need to hear.
So far, Jon’s platforms aren’t even his or reflective of the needs of the people of the 26th district. They are cobbled together by the prostitution of his political soul to the ultra liberal donors from everywhere but the 26th.
Jon has never been nor will ever be for the people of WNY. Even his primary reason for running for Congress - stated over and over again - has been because he wants to help the children of Iraq.
So Jackson - I suggest that you go back to Jon Jon and tell him to quit worrying about Jack or Alice or Chris and focus on saving his soul.

just to clarify what is Jack Davis’s or Chris Lee’s platforms? Or Alice Kryzan’s? Because the only time I’ve ever seen Chris Lee was at a parade. Davis, we’ll WNY hasn’t seen him in the past two elections so why would this one be different. And Alice… well she’s not so bad in my book to be honest with you. Except the whole calling the people of the Love Canal “hysterical” and donating money to Reynolds… then saying she’s an environmental lawyer.
Now, by Powers’s minions do you mean all 7 country Democratic committee’s? Because they all once supported Jack too… so that would have to mean Jack Davis is evil. Or are you talking about the good men and women of all the labor unions, stonewall democrats, etc, etc of the 20 or 30 organizations that support Jon too?
You can mock me all you want, and I’m sure you’ll never stop taking cheap shots at Powers, but I’ll be damned if you go around tarnishing the good hard working men and women of Western New York.

Why don’t we adopt a rule that says you cannot do consecutive comments that waste space. If you cant get it all in with one comment or at least wait until someone else comments or rebuts what you are saying.

I never called anyone evil. I didn’t take any cheap shots at Jon either. I didn’t even make any derogatory comments about anyone, including you.

It is the garbage you spewed in the 2:39 comment that is the reason politics has gotten ugly and this primary has been reduced to mudslinging. You forget the reasons that a person should run for elected office. The Congressional Member needs to serve the 654,000+ people of the district he/she represents.
Now go take a few hours, sit back and figure out what the real reason is you want to be involved in politics. Right now you are just making Jon look like he needs better friends.
As for Jack, Alice and Chris, it is their job to get their platforms out, not mine. Personally, I think only Alice and Chris have stayed above the fray to build a positive campaign about the needs of WNY. Jack is clearly in it for himself. At least he doesn’t lie about it. You’re right.. it is Lee’s job to get his out but sadly he hasn’t. Not even a posting on his website with anything mildly in depth.

You both use vulgar language.
You’re disrespectful to police officers.

You use campaign funds for illegal purposes.
You lie about helping children.
You line your pockets with the money that was supposed to go to help the poor children.
You refuse to be truthful to the voters about your lies.
You take money from strip club owners who exploit women.
You tell your staff to politicize a parade and ceremony meant to honor vets.
You focus more on getting piles of campaign cash than meeting with regular people.

jackson, You state the only time to you saw Chris Lee was at a parade once. Is that because your eyes were shut? Perhaps you are unwilling to see him. Your so eager to defend Jon Powers but do you realize that you defend him doing the things most people in our population would be ridiculed for. jacksonsmiles, perhaps your just suffering from purblindness; go ahead and look that up.
Jackson - For the record, I am very new to commenting. Typically, I just stop by the blogs to see what new and fresh rumor du jour is coming out.
I am not your average political hack trying to push my website or advance my future(or wallet) on the back of some candidate.
I am just a well-informed, interested voter.
So far, I haven’t seen any platforms from Jon. All of them have been dictated to his staff by the DCCC or MoveOn. When Jon starts showing he knows the facts, not just common talking points, his credibility level might get out of the crapper.
As for the political soul comment, I just feel bad for Jon. There is no way he is going to win a seat in Congress. He will be stuck living in WNY, owing favors to all his donors and endorsers, with no job. His “experience” will barely get him a decent paycheck.
In fact, I will bet dollars to your donuts that within 18 months, Jon will be living in another state hoping prospective employers don’t google his name.
So Jackson, keep helping Jon. He is probably going to need a roommate to help with expenses the campaign won’t cover.
Ellis - you’re obviously not that “well informed.” Powers is the only candidate to release platforms. Except for Chris Lee’s energy platform that looks an aweful lot like Powers.
Limpy- I’ve never lied about helping children and I’m sure Powers’ hasn’t either… so if you above post is based on lies… I’ll assume everything you say is based on lies. Although I’m sure I wore a funny hat once. As for Powers… are Bill’s hats funny? Why do you hate the Buffalo Bill’s so much? I don’t think Powers ever lied about Snowden’s money - the Buffalo News article points out Snowden has given thousands to Shea’s and the Buffalo Zoo… and Jack Davis attends funraisers at Snowden’s house - so you theory there is s**t just like the rest of your rants.
Tall Lady - again a “new poster” (or old with new tag line) maybe i’m not as tall as you to see over the rest of the crowd. I’ve seen Lee at one parade. One. and it was the same parade that Powers is accused of handing out Bill’s schedules… yet I was offered up to ten Chris Lee stickers? But why would any body here care about that? It doesn’t serve to help their purpose.
jackson, For your information (since you usually don’t seem to collect all of it) I’ve been commenting hear much longer than you. However, unlike yourself, I don’t feel the need to interject my 2 cents into almost every story. And you must not have accurately read my comment at such an early point in the morning. Some young boys have selective hearing when their mothers tell them things, jackson, I believe you may be afflicted with selective judging, or selective reading of others comments, or selective offensive commenting, I’m truly not an expert.
Jack, as has been aptly pointed out here before, according to yor logic, Jon Powers - failing primary candidate for the 26th Congressional District, hates poor children, policemen and women, memorial ceremonies, community events, some local parades, paying his mortgage with his own money, being sober, the people of Monroe County, NOT stealing money, taking a stand on abortion, obeying the law, telling the truth…
but he loves men who exploit women as long as they pay him.
