Well Known Corrupt Politician Endorses Rick Dollinger — and Rick Accepts!!!
We’re not sure if Dollinger didn’t want anyone to notice this or if it was just a case of no one caring, but recently, liberal elitist RICHard Dollinger held yet another press conference, just to announce that he received an endorsement that will most likely hurt his campaign for the 56th State Senate District — RICH was endorsed by Ass. David Gantt, funny thing is, no media showed up. We’re beginning to to think legitimate press is getting Dollinger press conference fatigue. RICH has been trying to use the media quite a bit to get free press.
It could be that Dollinger had no choice but to accept. Boss Gantt tells the local Democrats what they must do according to his will. Dollinger is no exception. Dollinger needs Gantt to help make up for a little error in judgement he had a while back that will cause him some problems in some areas of the 56th District this year. But Dollinger is gambling quite a bit on accepting Gantt’s support. We’ve posted extensively here about all the bad stuff Gantt does and some of the very questionable things he’s involved with. Poor RICHard. After selling his soul to Eliott Spitzer in exchange for the promise of a judicial appointment, he’s stuck in this unwinnable race with Joe Robach. This loss could very well spell the end of Dollinger’s political career.
What shocked me most about the only coverage about this endorsement was what City Newspaper actually had to say about David Gantt and how an endorsement from him will play in this race. Here’s a section from Jeremy Moule’s article:
But Gantt himself has been pegged as part of the Albany problem. In June, some of the state’s daily newspapers went nuts over his position on traffic light cameras. The state’s largest cities wanted them, but Gantt had opposed them. In June, however, he submitted legislation to permit the cameras as long as they made use of a certain technology. And the company that developed the technology just happened to employ a Gantt associate as a lobbyist - a connection first pointed out by the Buffalo News.
“It makes no sense for one upstate legislator to strangle progress - and safety - in New York City,” said a New York Times editorial. Gantt should be replaced as Transportation Committee chair, which he controls with an “iron fist,” the Times said
When the very liberal (intended to be a point of fact, not a slam) City Newspaper says support from Gantt may hurt Dollinger’s campaign, you know it must be bad. It’s also pretty pathetic to have the NY Times calling for your resignation.
This endorsement from Gantt will definitely hurt Dollinger in this race. Aside from Baden Street Settlement House, who Gantt showers with pork money in order to provide jobs for his political friends, even City voters, which Gantt basically ignores, won’t be too thrilled.
Either way, David Gantt is a dirty and corrupt politician whose endorsement can singlehandedly sink Rick’s political campaign. Dollinger’s effort hasn’t even gotten off the ground yet. He’s still trying to get a foothold in the district he abandoned several years ago when he quit the job. Joe Robach is going to win handily this year and poor RICHard may actually have to start working for a living.
It ain’t all whitebread country club livin’ RICH!

Ha! I knew you were talking about David Gantt right from the title! This is great news for Senator Robach. Gantt probably asked Dollinger to support his corruption if he were to win in exchange for his support. Obviously, Dollinger is comfortable working with corrupt politicians.
Is that a typo that you called him “Ass. David Gantt”
Did you put a period in there by accident?
