Jon Powers promised to ‘lead by example,’ and the only thing he is leading on is being just another hypocritical politician. Actions speak louder than words and Jon’s actions through this campaign, such as paying his rent with campaign funds, have certainly brought his ethics into question.

It seems to that Powers has a lot of questions to answer back home about the status of War Kids Relief. Instead, today he has jetted off to Manhattan to collect fat checks from lobbyists and special interests who
tonight will line up to kiss Charlie Rangel’s ring. Powers needs to do the right thing and give Rangel his money back and come home to face the questions surrounding War Kids Relief.

This sums it up pretty good Henry. Jon Powers not only ruined his own campaign by his illegal and unethical behavior and activities, he’s also duped his small group of followers into believing he really cared about them and the people of the 26th CD when, in fact, he only really cares about gorging himself on a great big cash money pie at the expense of others.
It’s sad when his followers continue to defend his activities and make excuses for why he continually disappoints. Sometimes you gotta just cut your losses. You gotta stop worshipping this kid who has twisted around the concept of good and bad. I’ve seen some stuff from a couple of you who are too far gone. Most of you guys should still be able to just break away. You probably should, for your own good.

where are your articles on Davis? or the fact that he never answered questions on bribing party officials.
or lee and the fact that he has no position whatsoever on anything, or that he only has money from mommy and daddy selling a company and jobs away from WNY, or that more of his donations came from out of state than in the NY 26 district (not cash volume - but number of people who donate because a donor who maxes out and a donor gives $ 25 still only get one vote a piece)
or your questions for Tom Reynolds on all the dumb stuff he’s done.
Or how about Bush and the fact that he’s lead our country down the toilet with national debt, an endless war in Iraq (without ever finishing his first war), the fact that he never caugh Osama —- which he vowed to do after 9.11!!!! (oh my gosh he must be a failure then).
give me a break. you guys slander and mudsling without talking about any of the good things your candidates of choice will do or how they will do it to avoid the fact that they simply have nothing going for them besides money.
the sad part is Paris Hilton right now has a better energy policy idea than either Lee or Davis in her spoof video response to McCain.

Of course we never met him. He fails to show up at events where its possible. I cant afford the time or money to fly to Hollywood or San Francisco to meet him at $1000 a plate fund raisers. If Jon Jon wants people to know him, its his responsibility to get out and meet people and explain his positions. The other candidates like Lee and Davis sure seem to be doing enough of it.

Whether or not Jack Davis did anything wrong (which you continually write in response to these posts) has nothing to do with whether Jon Powers is a lying sleazeball. What is your agrument exactly - that everyone does it? Or that Jon Powers is the lesser sleazeball between the two?
Instead of trying to change the issue, contact your hero Jon Powers and have him provide some proof that refutes the charges that are pretty well documented. OUtside of that, you are spinning your wheels with your constant whining.

what does Powers really have to prove? check our buffalopundit’s one of Buffalo’s blogs — if you look at the numbers the guy made less than 5 grand a month to try and help the children in iraq.
If he wanted to become rich 5 K a month won’t get you very far - even though the cost of living in WNY is lower, I believe he was living in D.C. during most of his efforts.
If the financial statements aren’t filed yet, how do we know that Bob McArthy’s article is correct? Where did he get that $$ number from? Jack Davis, Chris Lee? I’m sure they didn’t inflate the numbers or anything (please note sarcasm)

If you want to use your analogy and we’ll assume my bush analogy wasn’t sacrasm (although it was) that is exactly was Lee and Davis are doing. They are skirting the issue that they have absolutely no policies in place on how to help WNY or help the country out of the sh*thole we’re in right now due to Republicans and Democrats alike.
You blame Democratic congress, Democrats blame a Republican president… how about instead of playing the sad little blame game people actually did some god d*mn work to make a difference.

Every event I’ve been to Jon Powers has been to. I talked to one of the bloggers that followed his campaign around for three days - they did some where around a dozen events the 4th of July weekend.
I’m glad that theres only a hand full of people i’ve seen across the blogs you share your taste for blatant lies and false half truths.
The only reason you’re going after the guy is because you’ll know he’ll smoke Chris Lee in November…

Just b/c you say that these other people have no policies does not make it so. You may disagree with them, but please join the real world. I think Jon Powers (and Jack Davis, etc) ideas are wrong. I admit that they have put forth policy positions, however. Why don’t you grow up and do the same.

Exactly. What did he do to make a differnce? there is information out there that he basially bilked donors into giving money for a charity that never did anything. Either a) he was incompetent and now wants a promotion or b) he was swindling. I think it is fair to request that the guy se the record straight.

Since Power isn’t spending any of his campaign funds on his actual campaign, what IS he doing with all that cash. Hmmmmm. I’ve noticed a lot of withdawls from his account in the single dollar bill denomination. Hmmmmmm.
