Jack Davis 5 Jon Powers 0

We reported earlier  that Jack Davis sent 3 mailings to Democrats in the 26th CD before Memorial Day (you remember Memorial Day — it’s that special day where Jon Powers and his band of zealots were handing out Buffalo Bills schedules) and how Davis was up on TV, well Erie Dem sent us an e-mail claiming that Davis has sent another two mailings.

That brings the total up to 5 mailings.  Erie Dem claims to be a prime Democrat and also claims to have not received one piece of mail from Jon Jon.  If this is true, it makes one wonder what is happen with that “grass roots” support Powers has.

All the glowing posts and hero worship from crazy liberal blogs might make the Powers Platoon feel good, but at the end of the day my money is on mail, television and good pr.

  1. Again you attack Memorial Day and again you prove yourself a hypocrite… I didn’t see you attacked Tom Reynolds for doing the same thing? Kind of sounds like your blog attack on the local Dems who bashed McCain and not Obama?

It’s nice of you to have your own double standard - bashing people who attack opinions on this blog by name calling or taking personal jabs… then turning around and calling all liberals crazy.

Davis is wasting his money — he’s counting on “name recognition” but when all the recognition is BAD it doesn’t help.

He’s sent a few mailings, but Powers’ campaign is the only one going door to door giving it a personal touch. He’s also the only candidate in the race who didn’t pay people to go out and get signatures!

The DCCC just dumped a few million into ad’s for the three districts (including Power’s NY-26) and will be supporting there three candidates there — the money will go to Powers because of the Red-to-Blue campaign.

Davis is in a scramble to try and reach whoever he can - he’s hoping some people haven’t heard of him, so they don’t know how bad of a candidate he truly is.

It does sound like the typical answer you’d find on this blog — spend a crap load of money and win - it doesn’t really matter who the man is that we send to congress.

If your money is on mailing, television, and good PR - then by your logic you’d be rooting for Powers. Because if Davis does pull off a victory do you think he’ll stop spending money to make sure he wins? He’ll smoke Lee with $$$, and Powers beats them all as the best candidate.

  2. Jackson — just a guess, but you didn’t have a lot of friends growing up did you?
Tom Reynolds having four people wearing t-shirts in a parade two years ago is a little different from Powers having a gang go up to parade watchers and handing them Buffalo Bills schedules after they were asked not to.
Oh, and before you mention it, we’ve had several sources comment to us on the picture of Joe Robach’s daughter wearing a Robach t-shirt — it was from a different event from the parade. I know this is going to be hard for you to believe, but you buddies at rochesterturning lied when they said it was form the memorial day parade.

Could you please not comment here anymore? We really had some interesting liberals that were giving thoughtful comments. I may have disagreed with them, but I at least I thought about what they said.

Before you accuse me of being like Hitler, let me just stipulate that I am like Hitler. If you don’t go away I am going to send the Gestapo out to get you.

  4. Mr. Cincinnatus - I am sorry, but did you see me make one mention of Mr. Robach’s daughter? I know there was speculation regarding her shirt. I was at the parade Mr. Reynold’s was in however and there is a connection. Why was he allowed to have supporters wear shirts and yet Mr. Powers’ supporters were asked to turn their shirts inside out?

The shirt issue has nothing to do with handing things out… those are two seperate issues. Are the Republicans in Greece so attached to their middle school mentality that they ask people they don’t like to turn their shirts inside out or not march in a parade?

It’s amazing they’d have two sets of rules for different sets of people.

And Mr. Ex-Democrat…. I never accused you of being like Hitler. I simply made a point that Hitler used a similar tactic, as did America when they did not allow women or African-American’s to vote. So does that mean you’re like America too?

  5. JacksonSmile,

So now you are saying America is like Nazi Germany?

If you hear someone banging on your door at 3 am, don’t worry it’s just my Storm Troopers coming by to take away your computer and beat you.

  6. See you can’t even have a civilized conversation, you have to result to violence when you can’t get your way.

I didn’t compare Nazi Germany to America, I compared you to America as well.

You’re not like America? You’re not American? Well then by the logic used by the majority of posters and some high powered Republicans… you must be a terrorist!!!!

I won’t worry about your storm troopers, but you better worry about Mr. Bush, cause he’ll send the CIA after you!
