It Looks Like Dollinger and Supporters Lied Again

Tom Golisano had his press conference in Albany today.  He says he hasn’t decided whom he will support and what races his PAC will be involved in.  We apologize to Mr. Golisano for the post we had asking Has Tom Golisano Lost His Mind? and I’m sure Occam no longer feels: Tom Golisano Is A Wildman.

Here is my open letter to Tom Golisano:

Dear Mr. Golisano,

We apologize for doing something we at monroerising.com should be embarrassed about — we believed the Senate Democrats when they said you were going to give them millions to unseat Senate Republicans.  We really should have know something was up when we heard RICHard (no offense meant to you) Dollinger was among the people you felt Albany couldn’t do without.

The campaign season has barely begun and Dollinger is up to the old dirty tricks.  He sent out an illegal mailer with no return address and no indication of who paid for it.  Here’s our previous post for your convenience.  He actually claimed to know nothing about this mailer.  He expects us to believe the Albany powerbrokers are going to contribute to his effort to unseat Joe Robach and not make sure he knows what they did for him.

Dollinger has insulted our intelligence by claiming a Senate led by Malcolm Smith would cut upstate property taxes. Governor Patterson doesn’t want the Senate to go Democratic, yet he wants us to believe you want to spend millions accomplishing this goal.

In closing, I would like to thank you for all that you have done for western New York.  The charitable donations, purchasing the Sabres, good stuff like that.  Who knows, you are probably our only chance of keeping the Bills in Buffalo when Ralph Wilson no longer owns the team?

Have a nice day.

Sincerely,

Cincinnatus

Where did I read that individual campaign contributions are limited to 2.300 $? WHAM radio today stated Mr. G offered $5 mil to the state candidates that reflect his interests. How does that work? Is this money funneled through some 527? What are the differences between state and federal campaign finance law? Is Mr G any different than Mr Soros?

They are limited to $2300 what I understand is it will be an independent expenditure.

What I find amazing is that instead of getting the big money out, 527 style laws have only made people like Soros and unions more powerful. We now have a few people dictating elections. In Soros case I really resent it because he funds groups like MoveOn who are encouraged to then send many small contributions to people like Obama.

Wheres the Change? Its back to party bosses running things.

    tiberius,

‘They are limited to $2300 what I understand is it will be an independent expenditure.’

So the 5 mil doesn’t go into a candidates campaign fund, rather, it sponsors the favored candidates programs or initiatives?
