Posted on June 30th, 2008 by Sherman
Larry W. Tyree, who has served as an interim community college president three times, was today named by the Monroe Community College Board of Trustees to step in as the college’s interim president.Tyree is expected to begin work at MCC in August. Most recently he has served as the president at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas. He has been president of Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Fla., from 1990 to 2001, and also president of Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Fla., from 1976 to 1988.Tyree’s appointment at MCC comes after a controversial presidential search process failed to chose a new president for the school.
The board of trustees plan to start a search anew for full-time president. No schedule has yet been set for the renewed search.

Now wait just a cotton picken minute! I thought Steve Minarik was going to be the interim president. As was pointed out in the MR Weekly Rant, the Democrats, Liberal bloggers, etc. couldn’t wait to spread this rumor.
I guess they just found out what happens when you ass-u-me.
This just goes to show how out of touch some of the looney liberal blogs are.
