I hope someone (hint, hint media) is investigating further into that illegal political attack mailpiece sent out by the State Democratic Senate Campaign Committee that lied about Joe Robach and Jim Alesi.  Monroerising reported on the Channel 10 story and began looking into who sent it out.  We then traced the piece back to the New York City mailhouse that the Democrat Senate Campaign Committee contracts with, apparently for illegal mailers like this.  Finally, we arrive at the conclusion here (it wasn’t rocket science) that Mailgate was conducted on behalf of Richard Dollinger and David Koon to attack their opponents, Joe Robach and Jim Alesi.  Koon’s kinda off the hook because he backed out of the race against Alesi just before the mailer hit.  Kinda like Dollinger did when Robach entered the 56th Senate race in 2002.

The media needs to ask Dollinger if he approved this illegal mailpiece before it was sent out or if he turned a blind eye to what his NYC political team was doing, even though he (a lawyer) should have known that it was illegal.

It’ll be interesting though to see if this is how Dollinger and Koon plan to run their political campaigns this year.  Between Mailgate and some other things we’ve heard and will report on in the future, we’re pretty sure this will be the case.

We’ve passed along what we know and our thoughts about these illegal mailers and are still patiently waiting for our crack local media to be as thorough with this as they are when Democrats send them off on wild goose chases and political witch hunts.  We’re still waiting to see if anyone has followed up on the Dick Beebe Filegate scandal in which Beebe broke NYS election law by not filing almost a year’s worth of campaign reports.

Funny how it seems to be so difficult for some of the local media to do the same.  Channel 10 was the only station with the courage to expose this hack piece for what it was, despite the retribution they could face or moreso would have faced if disgraced former governor Eliot Spitzer and his henchmen were still running the New York.  Fallen henchman Darren Dopp tried to get a news reporter fired for writing an unflattering piece on pre-disgraced, then Attorney General Spitzer

This misleading political smear mailer is straight out of NYC.  They fight dirty down there and could care less what registered Democrats or the local party thinks up here in Rochester.  This just proves that New York City politicos WILL really be running Rochester if Robach/Alesi/Nozzolio/Maziarz lose this year.

So it seems that the RICHard Dollinger campaign is definitely going to be run by the New York City political hacks. First Dollinger climbs in bed with Eliot “I Committed 3 Felonies” Spitzer who handpicked RICHard to run and now Dollinger might be all caught up in the political dirty tricks run by the New York City gang.

RICHard, you must know that us folks up here don’t like these types of dirty, and most likely illegal, tactics no matter which side does them.

From what we see, Joe Robach has always run clean, positive campaigns. Do you really want to alienate yourself further from the constituents you abandoned back in 2002, this early in the race?

If you were involved, bad move RICH. We’re blue collar, hard working types in this district. Democrats and Republicans. Not your rich, liberal/progressive elitist types you might be used to.  We don’t buy into and fall for this type of political BS.  Stop treating us like we’re stupid.   Voters don’t like that.

Come out against this right now and set the record straight. Whether you know who it is or not, we suggest you just pass along a dictate from you, the candidate, that you don’t want this kind of trash coming from your NYC political team.

You’ve always politically tagged yourself as a reformist.  How about starting now by reforming the use of illegal campaign mailings sent out by your political machine.  It would finally be a start instead of your typical political lip service.
