I’ll believe it when I see the Liberal/Progressive Democrats do it…

Friends, I watched Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton both give their speeches last night following the conclusion of the Montana and South Dakota primaries. News personalities across the country were declaring that this was the conclusion of the primary season and the beginning of the general election. I can hear the groans of Clinton supporters everywhere; Barack Obama: not the best, not the worst, just what we’re stuck with. I say no so fast. I thoroughly believe that this is not the last of Hillary Clinton in her fight for the 2008 Democratic nomination.

In his speech, Barack Hussein Obama stated that “Tonight, I can stand before you and say that I will be the Democratic nominee for the president of the United States.” I understand why the Senator from Cook County, Illinois would think that, but he must not understand the Clinton machine. The Clinton’s have never lost anything. Bill won the governor’s mansion in Arkansas, they won the Whitewater case, he won two terms in the White House, he won his impeachment proceedings, and she moved to New York and carpetbagged her way to be the junior senator from the state. They’re not the type of people to just lie down and put their aspirations aside. Does she really want to be Vice President? My hunch is no. She knows the story of the two brothers; one went to sea, one became Vice President; neither was heard from again. She knows that the Vice President is the champion of irrelevancy. Why would she be willing to sacrifice herself for Obama when she still wields enough clout to continue the fight with Obama for the nomination?

In the epitome of Democratic/Liberal/Progressive stupidity there is still a chance for her to fight for that right in Denver. She could still convince Super Delegates that she is the most viable candidate. Super Delegate votes are not locked in until the convention. Who knows what other dirt is out there on Obama that could potentially sink his appeal. Rumor has it that a tape will be released shortly with Michelle Obama making remarks about “Whitey,”…I don’t think that will resonate with white voters. He’s 46 years old and who knows what else is in his closet. I believe he may have the edge now, but I think that within the next 2 months an event will occur that will throw the Democratic Party and his campaign under the bus.

It’s a long way from the present till August and the Democratic National Convention. In the words of Yogi Berra, “it ain’t over ‘til its over.” I’ll believe that he’s the Democratic nominee when I see the Democratic Party (and its liberal/progressive base) nominate him in Denver.

I believe she wants VP to stay close to Obama. If she is the VP and Obama does explode before the convention she is next in line without creating all the animosity that will happen if she continues to campaign.

Obama is too unknown, I think there is something really bad out there. If Hillary is the VP she is next in line.

  2. Do you think Hillary wants to be Vice President, but more in a Lyndon Johnson sorta way?

She’s already eluded to somethignsimilar twice.

  3. Lemon,
I have to agree with tiberius, I think Hillary will try to make a play for the VP slot. Although I don’t agree with everything she says and does, I still think its a huge step for a woman to make it this far when 100 years ago we didn’t even have the right to vote. Just think how proud Susan B. Anthony would be.
With that being said, I’m still don’t think I’d be able to vote for the Democratic ticket if she was Barack’s VP. He so far left it makes me sick. I really look forward to seeing who McCain picks for his VP slot.

  4. theyre both idiots. obama and clinton couldn’t play nice in the sandbox even if there was socialized medicine for everyone in the world under the sand. its either gonna be clinton gets on the ticket and is guilty by association when obama gets blasted by mccain in the fall or itll be that she dosen’t get the vp slot, gets bitter and ends up doing everything in her power to make sure that the dosent win and mccain is the one she has to run against in ‘12. im really going back and forth which i think itll be.

  5. I don’t understand what’s going on here. Liberal Dems call Obama and Clinton a “Dream Tickert.” They seem to be more interested about the fact that he is an African American and she’s a woman, than their respective Socialist policies.
