Maxine Waters Reveals Liberalism is Socialism

Maxine Waters gaffed during a house hearing on energy that Liberals are Socialists. While chastising the oil execs she said “This Liberal we be all about Socializing, er….. gaffe… er.. Basically we will take over your company”. She caught herself when she simply stated that she wants the government to take control of the oil companies. Which was another gaffe because thats exactly what Socialism is. I am in a tight spot because the entertainment factor of Congresswoman Waters (D) California is a great laugh. But the substance of what she says is scary.

My God, the Democrats are not even trying to hide the fact that they intend to turn the U.S. into a Socialist country.
Hold on to you hats, and your wallets, people.
The Democrats are so arrogant that they don’t even care to be taped saying these things.
They know the public won’t do anything until it’s too late.
I don’t see anything wrong with what Congresswoman Waters said. Even if she did make a mistake. The oil companies are screwing the American people and its about time someone did something about it.
Grant:/ There’s a difference between working to find a solution to high gas prices (drill in Alaska) and calling for Socialism in this country.
I hope you are not a successful businessperson or middle to upper middle-class individual.
If so, under Congresswoman Waters’ plan, you better be prepared to turn over all of your hard earned income so it can be redistributed to others in this country.
I’ll tell you what. Let’s do a dry run. I’ll quit my job and we’ll split your income 50/50 so you can get a little taste of the future.
I’m not trying to be aggressive towards you. I just know Waters’ Socialist views will destroy this country.
Its been said that a gaffe in Washington is when someone accidentally tells the truth.
I think the funniest thing is her own staff members laughing at her. They tried to hide from the camera but not good enough.
Wow.. Fox news… now there’s an un-biased source. I’m sure they’re “fair and balanced”, with Rupert Murdock being completely divested from any oil company sources…

Drilling in Alaska won’t do squat for the high gas prices.
There’s enough in Alaska to cover the US’s use of oil for about 6 months, maybe a year on rationing, tops.
The problem has little to do with oil supply. It’s got more to do with the billions in record profit the big oil companies have been making the past 3 years. They’re bumping the mark-up several fold of what real cost changes are. (Thats how you grow profits, after all.)
The real solution is to stop giving the major oil companies billions in tax write offs and hand outs, which they’re still getting despite posting record setting profits.
I find it ironic that Americans are whining about $4/gallon gas, when Europe and Canada have been paying more than that for over 5 years now. Know the current cost of a gallon of gas in the UK? 115.5 pence per litre. That works out to $2.28 per liter, or $8.64 per gallon, which is about the going rate in Europe right now. (France is the cheapest at 1.01€ per liter, which is just under $6 per gallon.)

But Woody, I think drilling in a number of places will.
And why can’t the anti-drilling-for-our-own-oil people get on the same page with their numbers. I hear we’ll supposedly get only 5 years worth, 2 years worth and now, apparently, 1 year to 6 months tops. Is it dwindling as we speak? And who’s keeping track of the dwindling supply? Will that person let us know when it completely disappears so we can stop talking about drilling in Alaska?

Maybe Congresswoman Waters was just tired. That’s the new Democrat excuse for getting caught saying something wrong.
Like Obama was tired when he forgot how many states are in the country where he wants to be President.
Get ready Democrats. You had your fun with Bush’s many goofs. And now you’re giving us Obama.

You can’t blame him since he probably never went to college or finished high school. Right?
