Paterson and Shumer Make Garbage More Expensive As Well

This place must do pretty well on google, I guess once you put a post on about energy prices and truckers you get a lot of truckers to come around.

Thanks to Governor Paterson and Senator Shumer [link here for story] you can expect to pay more for your garbage as well.  Truckers use the local roads to save money and time. Paterson and Shumer want us to use the thruway which they just hiked the rates on.  They say residents have complained that the trucks are loud, dangerous and pose potential environmental hazards. What do they think their garbage is better and less of a hazard?  We also pay more road taxes in the form of gas taxes in one week or two than most non-commercial drivers pay in a year.  The way Shumer and Paterson make it sound like we are driving down Ambassador Drive in Brighton.  We are using routes 5 and 20 and other rural routes in NY. So what can you expect from any new regulations?  Higher garbage rates!  I thought that Shumer wanted tax breaks for working people, instead of the rich?  Senator Shumner and Governor Paterson let me tell you something, driving a garbage truck is about as working class as it gets. Maybe after work one day we can all stop by one of your fundraising cocktail parties. We will make sure to do it in our work clothes before we had a chance to shower. That way you can meet some of the working class people you are always saying you want to help.

Thank you monroe rising for giving me a place to vent.  Count me in as another Republican Teamster.

  1. I have a great Idea for Shumer and Paterson. Keep your garbage downstate! Why do we have to haul it upstate anyways?

  2. 10-4 to that GoodBuddy

Guess who owns a summer house in Skeanatlas on route 20? None other than Clinton master fundraiser Terry McCauliffe. Go about half way down in this Washington Post story to read about his summer home Another elite who has garbage but doesn’t want to associate with the Riff Raff that hauls it away.
