‘Tis the Season..for Ridiculos Pandering from Hilary Clinton
Friends, sorry for my long delay in postings, I have felt inspired to return to this blog and contribute along with all my new colleagues. My favorite morning show is MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” with Joe Scarborough, former Congressman from Florida. On his show on May 5th, he had Hilary Clinton, Democratic Senator from our great state of New York as one of his guests. I have realized that the greatest power she has is the pander. She spent almost the entire 10 minute interview speaking of the Gas Tax holiday she wants to institute in three weeks (I’ve posted the link under this paragraph). The day before the Indiana and North Carolina primaries, she couldn’t pander enough. There’s truly a difference between telling the people what you can do for them and outright making up national policies in effort to acquire votes from states that you don’t represent. She even uses Tiki Barber’s appearance on the show to pander. I’ll admit, before I was enlightened, I had cast my ballot in favor of her and every time I see her speak now, I regret it.
She speaks of financing this gas holiday by taxing the oil industries which employ so many people in this nation. If they’re not making as much money, they won’t be able to give as much money back to their workers, or pay as much taxes back to the government that she wants to use for her social agenda. I agree that gas prices are too high but this is not the answer. She wants to give a $10,000 credit to help people afford hybrid cars. How is she going to pay for it, especially when there are children without health care, a social security system that is going bankrupt and soldiers without proper equipment in the Arabian desert.
All during this swing of primary states, she has talked about how the voters of Indiana and North Carolina believe in her and her message and that she is going to do everything she can for them. I know the votes have already been counted but I’m still waiting for Hilary to do something for me, her constituent in Western New York. I wonder if I’m the only one who feels forgotten as she’s trying to find a better gig and leave us folks behind.
