New Opportunity For RICHard Dollinger, Sandy Frankel And Willa Powell to Grandstand
So, the gang of three seeking to run against state Senator Joseph Robach, Democrats Willa Powell, RICHard Dollinger, and Sandy Frankel, were in Greece yesterday grandstanding for the latest special interest group, NOW of Greater Rochester.
They were protesting because they felt Robach didn’t support their cause — having government decide how much people working in various jobs should be paid. Many feel this legislation is unnecessary because there is this thing called the “free market” that has worked pretty well since before the founding of our Republic. The Democrat and Chronicle was the only media outlet covering the event – they sent cub reporter Kate Perry, to cover this event.
RICHard Dollinger was the biggest hypocrite of the bunch. According to the D&C:
Dollinger, Robach’s predecessor who held the 56th state Senate district seat from 1993 to 2002, accused Robach of ducking out on a vote that would have released a stronger pay-equity bill from committee.
Wait a minute, isn’t this the same guy who “ducked out” of the Senate in 2002 when he found out he was going to have a tough race? Isn’t this the same guy who “ducked out” when he was elected chair of the Monroe County Democratic Committee because he wanted to pursue his life long dream of being a judge? In case you don’t know, the answer is yes to both.
I wonder how much RICHard Dollinger pays the secretary at his big law firm? What stops him from giving her “pay equity”? Or how about the former Dollinger Corporation — the original source of the family’s mega-millions? Did they pay truck drivers more than secretaries? Or what about Wegmans the second source of the family’s mega-millions (Mother Dollinger landed Robert Wegman as a second husband)? Maybe RICHard’s protest would have been more appropriate there — they probably pay their butchers — a male dominated trade, more than their cashiers — a traditionally female dominated position.
As for Sandy Frankel, couldn’t she, as Brighton Town Supervisor, restructure the pay scale in Town Hall? And what about Willa, couldn’t you say the same for her as a member of the Rochester City School Board? Unfortunately, the young reporter from the D&C didn’t think to ask these questions.
These three pandering to the NOW Crowd isn’t really surprising. Their behavior is almost as embarrassing as it was in February when they were upset and all spoke at the County Legislature meeting a because County Legislature Republican’s wouldn’t allow “Sister Grace” to bring her wino and crackhead friends into the legislature meeting without security to protest the fact that Assemblyman David Gantt wasn’t allowed to dictate the terms of the hiring of the new Public Defender. Who could forget Frankel trying to walk into Channel 8 Kevin Jolley’s live shot?
Barbara Moore from NOW said this to the D&C reporter:
Barbara Moore, secretary of the Rochester chapter of NOW, said she didn’t think the candidates were using the issue for political gain.
I disagree with Ms. Moore. The gang of three (RICHard Dollinger, Frankel and Powell) are trying to use this for their gain, but I don’t see how it will help them. Most people believe in the free market principle on which this country was founded. They can also see through hypocrisy when they see it. Let anyone of the three of these folks produce proof that they actually did something about “pay equity” in their current positions or private life.
Despite the best efforts of the print media in Albany and Rochester (the NOW speaking out piece in the D&C the same day as the protest — give me a break!) the event was a dud. Weeks of planning and only a mention on 3B of the paper. Don’t worry though, these three and their special interest friends will be back soon with a new cause that cries out for a government solution.

Typical limousine liberal. Wants to create equity with someone else’s money. I used to work for wegmans and let me tell you. If Rich Dollinger actually believes this he should be standing out front of the Pittsford store holding a picket sign along with the egg farmer protestors.
If Duck Dollinger believes so much in government enforced equity maybe he should drop out of the race all together and let Powell and Frankel slug it out. Then we will either get an African-America female or white female with the nomination. I am sure neither one of their pay levels equal his.
So far, the campaigns of these 3 liberal elitists have been so bush league and poorly run that all 3 of them sank to the lowest denominator by calling on NOW for help.
Unfortunately, NOW holds absolutely zero credibility in this community, confirmed by the fact that not a single TV media outlet covered the story. NOW is just a politcal attack team controlled by the liberal elitists.
NOW Sandra, Wila and RICHard (I like that guys) are essentially using women and minorities for their own political gain (a typical move by the liberal elitists).
Sandra and Wila don’t deserve to be allowed to continue to serve in their current positions because of this. And RICH should never be elected to another job ever again. This is disgusting.
Using women and minorities like this is just sick and wrong. Now it doesn’t matter which of these 3 wins the primary, this little stunt has the potential to ruin their camapigns.
Congratulations Joe Robach on earning another 2 years of serving the reisidents of your district and delivering state resources for our community.
