Governor Paterson Admits Past Cocaine Use
Thanks to regular reader Bullwinkle — he turned us on to the New York Observer’s blog which revealed the latest Governor Paterson bombshell — that he admitted using cocaine. This surprising information was shared during an interview on NY1 News.
David Paterson is still adding to his string of confessions.
“I tried it a couple of times,” he said in an interview with NY1 News, when asked if he had ever used cocaine.
It was his first television interview since he became governor last week.
Wow! When are Jim Lawrence and the fellas at the D&C editorial board going to weigh in on this one?
Week two is off to a great start. I don’t think he can blame this one on Bill Lynch, the guy we posted about yesterday. He advised the Governor to come clean on his affairs.
This is getting more unbelievable everyday!

I remember when Steamroller chose Paterson as his Lieutenant. I figured, he picked him for the same reason every candidate picks a second person. That he offered a constituency he was weak with and could help. The only thing I knew about Paterson was that he sponsored this ridiculous legislation where police officers had to try to aim for the arms and legs of someone shooting at them.
Now I realize why Steamroller picked him. They are political soulmates. Both equally weak morally and both are using government to feed those weaknesses.
When I heard Patersons acceptance speech I thought “well the guy may be a buffoon with this ridiculous humor but at least the stemroller is gone. If he works with the legislature we can move forward and accomplish something” (BTW none of that mundane humor made it to news soundclips) I now predict he will become a political distraction and very innefective. Not only do I think he will not win in 2010 I doubt the democrat party will even back him.
Thanks Cincinnatus,
Like many around here I am finding myself reading Monroerising before I read the D&C. They sure do break better stories. If I only have time to read one its got to be Monroerising.
As a note I listened to NPR this morning and only heard about a Siena poll that gives paterson a 56% approval rating. I heard nothing about the daily bleeding that is happening with Paterson. Maybe this is why I find myself reading Monroerising first.
