10 NBC Captures Gantt’s Thuggery on Tape
Thanks to Ryan34 for sending us this comment.
Gantt should be investigated for his comments last night that Channel 10 captured on tape, and I quote “you wonder why a guy go into Missouri and shoot some damn body”. What a great example for our children! “Hey kids, Mr. Gantt says that when things go wrong, it’s ok to shoot ‘em up.”
Imagine if those words had come out of a Republican!

Too bad that numskull Tom Tobin at the D&C isn’t interested in the whole story. Checkout this unbelievable post he had on the D&C opinion blog:
Gantt smoked ‘em
Dave Gantt made the county legislative Republicans look like feckless, arrogant amateurs the other day by creating a situation in which he and some supporters were arrested and handcuffed while the lawmakers met in private to cut a deal on the appointment of a new public defender. Gantt became a man of the people fighting for First Amendment rights, even to the point of wearing handcuffs, while the legislators looked like let-them-eat-cake Antoinettes.

Before you get too high and mighty on your comments regarding David Gantt’s comment “you wonder why a guy go into Missouri and shoot some damn body”, you might want to reflect on some of the inflammatory and absurd comments one of your own (I assume) has routinely made, and continues to make. I am, of course, referring to that bellwether of Republican insight and restraint, your very own Bob Lonsberry.
It IS about the process, and David Gantt and friends are correct in vociferously complaining. Hopefully there will be a Democratic legislature in this State and County soon so we can rid ourselves of Steve Minarek and his cronies
Bad Prudence:
I take no responsibilty for Bob Lonsberry, David Gantt, Steve Minarik, or Minarik’s Cronies.
Cincie
What a profound counter argument from lack of Prudence. Only one small problem. Lons-fruit is not a public official making comments about other public officials being KILLED. That sort of barbaric rhetoric should have no place in public discourse. Of course, with public leaders like Gantt, it is no surprise that the City of Rochester is riddled with violent crime. They just follow the “leader”…
Give me a break Prudence, Gantts comments were disrespectful to the people who were KILLED! He used their deaths to make a very bad political point. Using an unfortunate tragedy for a political game is in bad taste and he should be ashamed!!!
And what about the folks (they are probably predominantly from the inner city, so I suppose they really don’t matter that much) who will be put into jail because of an uncaring/incompetent/Republican PD who has been put into office by a totally corrupt process? ‘Bad taste and should be ashamed’ — yes, but I think this arrow is two-sided!
P Izbad, OMG! Are you defending what Gantt said?!? People died in that shooting prudence! Didn’t you know that? David Gantt basically degraded their memories by using their deaths to make what many are saying was a threat… in public… right infront of cameras that he knew were there. Some were media and some were the ones he had staged there to cover his BS antics.
That is utterly disgusting. But you know what, if Gantt and his thugs now call enough people racists, you and his gang and the media will forgive him.
You and the media can defend him all you want. He is and will always be a very bad man.
Now go ahead and call me a racist for defending people who have been murdered. I dare you. I triple dog dare you.
Dear Prudence Izbad:
If a city school kid threatened to go “postal” or something similar they would be suspended.
When Gantt does it at a public meeting liberals like Paul Haney call him a “distinguished citizen” no wonder the city is in the shape its in.
Dear alter-ego-prudence:
Despite what you claim, we at Monroerising.com hold no sway or control over anyone in any media outlet. Your accusation is baseless, unfounded, offensive but typical of your ilk.
While we do not remotely agree with all of Bob Lonsberry’s points of view, we acknowledge that he, at the very least, supports and attacks officials on both sides of the political spectrum.
In addition, your statement that the new public defender who, by right of citizenry, has chosen a particular political party to enroll in, in order to cast votes in both general and primary elections in this country, will not care about those whom his office serves, is once again, an accusation by you that is baseless, unfounded, offensive, but typical of your ilk.
Maybe you missed the many news reports that stated the new P.D. has offered to meet with all those who sullied this process and, effectively, disparaged his name. Maybe you should sit down with him too before you pass judgement.
Your comments only help to prove our point that the Democrats, led by Boss Gantt, wanted to control the process to put their own handpicked person in.
That, my dear prudence, in NOT a noble act in support of the poor.
Evil does exist, and we saw it the other night, illustrated in the personage of David Gantt. The man is a pathetic politician, and a completely thoughtless, immoral person to have made such a comment. Had it been a Republican or Conservative that made that comment, the media would have been in an uproar, and other officials would be calling for their head. Gantt needs to resign. He needs to be thrown out by the voters, but that’s not likely.
Why are the media and members of his own party so afraid of David Gantt?
Oh ya, I almost forgot.
“Sorry Mr. Gantt. Legally, we cannot let you takeover this process so you can just appoint your own person.”
Once again…
“Sorry Mr. Gantt, we no longer sell the whopper.”
Each of the previous posts by me are completely fabricated statements made by no one. Nor did Mr. Gantt respond with his now infamous comment.
My intent here is to show how he threw an inappropiate comment out there at inappropriate time to serve no appropriate purpose.
Period.
I, unlike Mr. Gantt, will plainly and sincerely apologize if I offended anyone. In advance, I will say… I am sorry.
