You know the deal.  I’ll sum it up in ten easy to follow steps.

1. County Legislature needs to pick new Public Defender.

2. Democrats in Leg. and Bar Association agree to process.

3. David Gantt wants to appoint his own person.

4. Ass. Gantt bullies leg. democrats and bar assoc. to his will.  Forces them to back out of participation.

5. Leg. majority moves forward to do their job.

6. Gantt’s first attempt to get arrested fails.  Activist shoves female police officer.

7. Gantt’s second attempt to get aressted succeeds.  After a quick potty break.

8. Gantt’s third attempt to get arrested succeeds.  No details on this one yet.  Jill T. at the D&C is doing a good job keeping the public updated.

9. Legislature majority moves forward to select new Public Defender.

10. Local newspaper/democrats/special interest groups claim republicans hate poor, minorities.

This is getting so old and sooooooooo boring.
